Marriage License info:

 

 

South Padre Island, Tx in Cameron County

 

A couple that intends to be married in Texas must apply in Preson for a marriage license at a Texas County Clerk's Office. The application for a license must be signed by both the bride and the groom in the presence of the County Clerk. If this is not possible, any adult or one of the applicants may apply on behalf of the absent applicant. Certain terms must be met:
 

 1.Applications must be filled out with Social Security numbers, proof of age, and identification shown (Certified Birth Certificate or Driver's License)
2. A filing fee of $72.00 dollars in cash will be charged

How long must I wait between the time I get my License and the actual ceremony?
There must be at least 72 hours between the time of issuance of a license and the time the ceremony occurs unless one applicant is on active duty in the armed forces or a waiver is granted. A marriage license is valid for only 30 days, so with the 72 hour waiting Preiod, there is only a 27 day Preiod in which the marriage ceremony can take place.

What if I am under the age of 18? Can I still get married?
If you are 16– 17 years of age, you can only get married if one of the following criteria is met:

City Premit info:

 

South Padre Island, Tx. dose require a Premit for all beach ceremonies ( this is not the marriage license), as your consultant I will take care of getting this Premit.  info from the city of South Padre Island

 

Requirements for obtaining a Beach Use (Wedding)  Premit.

 

v  Date, hours of the day, physical address, and items to be placed on beach for wedding.

v  If  wedding is taking place on the beachfront of a resort hotel, condo complex or private residence a letter is required from the proPrety owner saying that they are aware of the wedding on their beachfront.

 

v  If  one of the city’s beach accesses is being used , we need the name or the number (all beach accesses are  identified) of the beach access.

 

v  Premits can be obtained from Monday thru Friday between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.  Fee is $25.
